Korean Drama ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ Criticized For Excessive Product Advertisement

‘The King: Eternal Monarch is facing criticism from the netizens for excessive product advertisements.

The SBS Korean drama was recently criticized for its very obvious products placement in its episodes.

A new report discussed the unnatural advertisement of products in the scenes and the ridiculous plots scenes that is included in order to account for the product’s appearance in the drama.

For Instance, in a particular scene, Lee Min Ho is shown talking about a coffee product, saying “The First taste is rich and the end taste is clean. They sell stuff like this in Korea’s markets?” The article continued to criticise the drama’s manner of advertisement. It wrote that the actors look awkward and stiff trying to include unnecessary scenarios to advertise the products

Other scenes advertise products like lip gloss, face masks, futuristic face masks and fried kimchi is such a cringy way.

“Since the drama sucks, they are trying to earn as much as they can through product 
placements”

“They made a drama in order to sneak in ads”

“lol, why is there an advertisement for fried kimchi in here?”

The King: Eternal Monarch has o a very impressive cast consisting of Lee Min Ho, Kim Go Eun, Woo Do Hwan and many other amazing actors and actresses but since its premiere, it has failed to give the netizens what they expected. From one point of criticism to another, this is just one of the many setbacks they will face.
