BTS’s “Map Of The Soul: 7 -The Journey-” Goes Triple Platinum In Japan And TWICE’s “Fanfare” Goes Platinum
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced new certifications for BTS and TWICE’s latest Japanese releases!
It was revealed that BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” has reached triple platinum status on the RIAJ’s list of certifications for the month of July.
The group’s fourth Japanese full album “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” came out on July 15 and includes 13 songs in total, with Japanese versions of many of their Korean tracks and two new original Japanese songs: the title track “Stay Gold” and “Your Eyes Tell,” co-written by Jungkook.
TWICE’s latest Japanese single “Fanfare” has also gone platinum. The single came out on July 8 and it includes their new Japanese song “Fanfare” as well as a Japanese version of their latest Korean comeback track “MORE & MORE.”
To be certified as triple platinum by the RIAJ, an album must reach 750,000 copies shipped.
Platinum status is reached by a release once it hits 250,000 copies shipped.
