More Celebrities Including Actor Gong Yoo, Kim Dong Jun, And Kim Yo Han Donate To Assist Flood Relief Efforts

More Celebrities are setting an amazing example. Stars join the list as many more donate to help those affected by Korea’s ongoing heavy rains and flooding.

Korea’s rainy season began in the month of June, flooding the residential areas, it has caused thousands to evacuate their home and buildings, triggered mudslides and sadly, at least eight missing persons and six deaths have been recorded.

According to the Korea Disaster Relief Association, Celebrity Kim Yo Han generously donated 10 million won, that is approximately $8,424 in USD currency, to help people affected by the flooding.

WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo has also given 10 million won to assist this cause.
Kim Dong Jun donated 10 million won to the MIRAL Welfare foundation. The foundation shared, “On August 12, we received a large donation from someone under the name of Kim Dong Jun, and we found out that it was the celebrity Kim Dong Jun. He didn’t want his donation to be made public, but after much persuasion, he allowed this article to be published in order to spread the culture of sharing.”

On August 14, it was reported that Korean Actor Gong Yoo also donated a 100 million won (approximately $84,243) to the Korea Disaster Relief Association. The foundation told Media outlets “A little after 11 a.m. on August 12, we received a donation of 100 million won under the name of Gong Ji Cheol (Gong Yoo’s real name).”

Actress Han Ji Hye also showed her kind heart as she gave 20 million won to the Korea Disaster Relief Association. She said, “I wanted to help the flood victims in some way. I hope that warmth can be conveyed to those suffering from the flood.”
