EXO_SC, BLACKPINK, ATEEZ, TXT, And More Receive Double Platinum And Platinum Certifications From Gaon
The latest batch of official platinum certifications had been announced!
The Korea Music Content Industry Association adopted a new certification system for album sales, song downloads and online streaming in 2018. Gaon Chart certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales and songs get platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.
It was announced on September 10 that EXO-SC’s first full-length album “1 Billion Views” has made an official double platinum certification after selling out over 500,000 copies since it’s release in July.
Also, BLACKPINK’s Special edition of “How You Like That”, ATEEZ’s mini album “ZERO: FEVER Part 1” and TXT’s 2019 album “The Dream Chapter: MAGIC” were all officially certified platinum after achieving the sales rate of over 250,000 copies each.
“ZERO: FEVER Part 1” is ATEEZ’s first release ever to go platinum. Big congratulations to the group!
Moving on to the download category, BTOB’s “Only One for Me” and Lim Chang Jung’s “There Has Never Been A Day I Haven’t Loved You”, both released in 2018 got official platinum certifications after amassing over 2.5 Million downloads each
Finally, Jeon Sang Keun’s “I Still Love You a Lot” received certified platinum after gaining over 100 million streams.
