Lee Min Ho Makes Donation To Organizations Advocating Against Child Abuse

Lee Min Ho has added to his long history of giving to charitable causes.

On December 28, Famous Korean actor, Lee Min Ho and MYM Entertainment donated 50 million won (about $46,000) to three organizations that specialize in the protection of children from abuse.

The contribution was made through the donation platform to Holt Children’s Services Inc, Good Neighbors International and Save the Children.

This is not the first time Lee Min Ho has shown interest in child welfare. He has regularly made donations, joining awareness campaigns in promotions of this cause. His donations were motivated by the fact that due to the COVID-19 pandemic causing the confinement of more people at home, the rate of child abuse at the hands of family members has increased.

The donation made will be used to further support programs that work on improving family relationships and making therapy available to victims of child abuse.

Donating platform, PROMIZ gave an official statement regarding Lee Min Ho’s contribution, “He decided to donate to protect children who are suffering from abuse by family members at a time when children are spending more time at home than before due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He hopes that this donation will raise awareness for the victims of child abuse who are suffering in the dark and also provide practical assistance to vulnerable children.”

This is not the first charitable donations Lee Min Ho has made during the COVID-19 pandemic. In early 2020, he gave the sum of 300 million won; which is approximately $276,000, to agencies that work to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The donation went towards the provision of personal protection equipment to health care workers and children.

In other news, Lee Min Ho is currently gearing up for his role in the upcoming Apple TV+ drama “Pachinko” which is based on a novel of the same name.
