BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” Sets Record Of Fastest K-Pop Group MV To Reach 1.2 Billion Views

BLACKPINK has set a new record!

According to the group’s agency YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s MV for “Kill This Love” has amassed over 1.2 billion views on YouTube.

The music video for “Kill This Love” was released on April 5, 2019, at 12 a.m. KST and surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube on February 9, around 12:38 a.m. KST. This means it took about a year, 10 months and 4 days to achieve this feat.

This time count makes BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” the fastest Kpop MV to surpass 1.2 billion views. BLACKPINK is also the first K-pop group with two music video that has gotten over 1.2 billion views.

The first music video to break this record was “DDU-DU DDU-DU” which took just over two years.
