SF9’s Chani To Play Cha Eun Woo And Hwang In Yeob’s Best Friend In “True Beauty” Cameo
Upcoming webtoon adaptation drama “True Beauty” shared a peek of SF9’s Chani’s Cameo appearance!
It has been revealed that SF9’s Chani will be making a cameo appearance as Jung Se Yeon, the best friend of Lee Su Ho and Han Seo Jun. He is a cheerful character who connects the cold Lee Su Ho and rebellious Han Seo Jun.
News stills were released on December 8, showing the three’s close friendship in the past. Jung Se Yeon is all smiles as he checks out his bracelet. The three are later seen crossing arms together and wearing the same bracelets however, the relationship between the characters seemed to have roughened. Viewers are curious as to what changed the dynamics of their friendship.
“True Beauty” production team gave a statement, “We sincerely thank Chani, who readily accepted the offer to make a cameo despite his busy schedule. Even though it was only a cameo, Chani made his character more three-dimensional through his detailed analysis of the script.”
“True Beauty” is based on a popular webtoon with the same name. It is a romantic comedy about Lim Ju Gyeong who is insecure about her looks and uses makeup to hide her bare face. Her secret gets leaked to Lee Su Ho, a popular student who has his own emotional wounds. They share each other’s secrets and heal each other through love.
ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo plays Lee Su Ho, Moon Ga Young has the role of Lim Ju Gyeong and Hwang In Yeob plays the second male lead, Han Seo Jun, an untamable rebel with a hidden warm heart.
“True Beauty” is scheduled to premiere on December 9 at 10:30 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
